Merry Christmas and let the planning begin

"He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree." Roy L. Smith

Whole Family right before opening all the presents

I hope everyone had a wonderful and amazing Christmas. Whether a small gathering or a large one, the true meaning is just to be with friends and family and realize how much they all mean to you. Our Christmas was spent with family we have not seen in a long time. My sister recently moved to Oklahoma after graduating from Veterinary school from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. While she was there, she met and fell in love with Euan who she married in April of this year. However, due to regulations and timing, he has not been approved for a green card yet. Due to this, he still lives in Scotland but comes over at least once a month for a week at a time. It was amazing that he was able to come to Colorado with his mother and my sister. My parents live here, and my sister in law lives with us, so our house was filled with me and my wife, my son, my sister, her husband and his mom, my mom and my dad. Talk about a full house. But what an amazing group.

This was also the first time we were able to tell our family about our plans to move and to show them what the house looks like. Having a family filled discussion on what we felt and what we thought needed to be updated. Now we have a good to do list, and we can't wait to have all the items crossed off."

AND probably the best idea we got from the discussion was the idea of getting one of the PODS delivered to our house so that we could take 2 weeks to load it with boxes and then have the company move it right to the other house so its there waiting for us and we can take another 2 weeks to unload it all without having to just load the garage up with boxes and make it harder to get organized. Tomorrow, I'll look into this more. I'll find out if it's still a good idea with the cost being taken into account. Fingers crossed it all pans out, who doesn;t like the sound of someone else moving the big container with a little more time added to the whole of moving.
